France-Congo cooperation

On Monday 29 November 2021, the Minister of Finance, Budget and Public Portfolio, Rigobert Roger Andely, representing the Congolese government, and the French Ambassador to Congo, François Barateau, for the French government, signed the Third Bilateral Agreement on the suspension of debt servicing with regard to France within the framework of the Debt Service Suspension Initiative (DSSI) decided by the G20 in 2020.

Inauguration of the New Headquarters of the Ecobank Congo Group in Brazzaville

The President of the Republic of Congo, Denis Sassou-Nguesso, inaugurated the New Headquarters and the Head Office of the Ecobank Congo Group on Monday, 29 November 2021 in Brazzaville. The ceremony was attended by Anatole Collinet-Makosso, Prime Minister, Head of Government; Rigobert Roger Andely, Minister of Finance, Budget and Public Portfolio; and Cheik Travaly, Regional Director of Ecobank Group Central, Eastern and Southern Africa.

2nd Meeting of the National Public Debt Committee (CNDP)

The members of the National Public Debt Committee met on Friday 26 November 2021 at the Ministry of Finance in Brazzaville, in accordance with the organic law N°36-2017 of 3 October 2027, relating to finance laws, which provides, in its Section 56 paragraph 3, that the finance law of the year should be accompanied by the public debt strategy. The meeting was chaired by Rigobert Roger Andely, Minister of Finance, Budget and Public Portfolio, in the presence of Ingrid Olga Ghislaine Ebouka-Babackas (Minister of Economy, Planning, Statistics and Regional Integration), and Vice-president of the CNDP.

3rd and 13th Editions of the Competitive Entrance Examination and Test for the CEMAC Inter-State Customs School

On Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 October 2021 in Brazzaville, a hundred Congolese candidates participated in the 3rd and 13th editions of the competitive entrance examination and test to the Central African Economic and Monetary Community's Inter-State Customs School (EIED-CEMAC) for the private training of customs agents, controllers and inspectors.

Presentation of the State Finance Bill for 2022 Financial Year

Ludovic Ngatsé, Minister Delegate in charge of the Budget to the Minister of Finance, Budget and Public Portfolio, Rigobert Roger Andely, presented on Friday 22 October 2021 to the National Assembly and then to the Senate, the State Finance Bill for the 2022 financial year. The finance bill provides for a budget of 1935.3 billion CFA francs in revenue and 1735 billion CFA francs in expenditure, with a surplus of 200.3 billion CFA francs.
