Swearing in of public treasury agents

Wednesday May 3, 2023 at the High Court (TGI) of Brazzaville, 40 Prosecuting Agents (out of the 42) appointed by Memorandum No. 0180 of April 28, 2023 from the Minister of Economy and Finance, took the oath. The solemn hearing, in which the 1st President of the Supreme Court, Henri Bouka, took part; the Public Prosecutor at the TGI of Brazzaville, André Oko Ngakala; the Minister of Economy and Finance, Jean-Baptiste Ondaye; and the Director General of the Treasury, Albert Ngondo, was led by Aristide Elenga, Acting President of the TGI, assisted by two judges: René Blaise Boyama and Henri Lauric Abia Ombondzo.

The Congolese Minister of Economy and Finance, Jean-Baptiste Ondaye, President of the Ministerial Committee of the Central African Monetary Union (UMAC), accompanied by Ludovic Ngatsé, Congolese Minister of Budget, Public Accounts and Portfolio public, and their French counterpart, Bruno Le Maire, Minister of the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, co-chaired, Tuesday April 25, 2023 in Bercy (France), headquarters of the French Ministry of the Economy and Finance, the meeting of Finance Ministers of the CEMAC-France monetary zones in Paris. This meeting was preceded, the day before, Monday April 24, 2023, by that of the experts.

First session of the National Investment Commission (CNI) for the year 2023

On Saturday April 1, 2023 in Brazzaville, Athanase Ngassaki, Chief of Staff, representing Jean-Baptiste Ondaye, Minister of Economy and Finance, and President of the National Investment Commission (CNI), opened the work of the first session of said Commission for the year 2023. In the presence of Ferdinand Sosthène Likouka, Chief of Staff of Mrs. Ingrid Olga Ghislaine Ebouka-Babackas, Minister of Planning, Statistics and Regional Integration; and Franck Mondesir Mbouayila Tsassa, Director General of Economy and Permanent Secretary of the CNI. 24 requests, representing 2.572 billion 52 million 836.394 F CFA of investment intentions to be realized and 3578 jobs to be created, were examined.

Jean-Baptiste Ondaye, Congolese Minister of Economy and Finance, chaired the meeting of the National Economic and Financial Committee (CNEF) of the Republic of Congo, session of Friday, March 24, 2023, at the headquarters of the Bank of the States of the Central Africa (BEAC). The work took place both face-to-face in Brazzaville (Congo) and by videoconference in Yaoundé (Cameroon) and Libreville (Gabon). According to the final press release, "in 2023, Congo's growth would amount to 3.7%".
