PRESENTATION

The Directorate General of Service and Portfolio Revenue, under the authority of its Director General, is the technical organ that assists the Minister in the discharge of his duties on issues of service and portfolio revenue.

ORGANISATION

The Directorate General of Service and Portfolio Revenue is made of:

  • The Directorate of issuance

  • The Directorate of regulations

  • The Directorate of prospection, forecasting and statistics

  • The Directorate of administrative and financial affairs

  • The Directorate of service control

  • As well municipal directorates in the regions

All these structures rely on daily logistic support:

  • From the executive secretariat, charged with the management of correspondence, data processing and reprography and treatment of other administrative documents.

  • From the computer service which defines computer needs, organises technical resources on computerised sites and manages the exploitation, maintenance and assistance of applications.

AREAS OF COMPETENCE

The Directorate General of Service and Portfolio Revenue is specifically charged with:

  • Implementing Government’s policy on service and portfolio revenue

  • Participating in the drafting of regulatory and legislative texts on service and portfolio revenue

  • Contributing to the follow up of revenue from participations

  • Ensuring the collection and processing of information on revenue from service and products of State portfolio

  • Handling registers of service and portfolio income-generating structures

  • Implementing regulations on service and portfolio revenue

  • Prospecting service and portfolio income-generating activities

  • Determining the tax base and ensuring liquidation of service and portfolio revenue

  • Issuing receipts for collection of service and portfolio revenue

  • Contributing to the drafting of texts on the creation of service and portfolio revenue authorities

  • Keeping updated accounts on issuance of service and portfolio revenue

  • Keeping updated accounts on special print-outs for structures providing service and portfolio revenue

  • Issuing revenue orders to buffer staff expenditure

  • Producing administrative accounts for service and portfolio revenues
