Securing revenues - Impfondo, Mokabi and Bétou now have one-stop customs clearance offices and Congo Postal Bank branches

The activities of three single points of goods clearance (GUD) and three branches of Congo postal bank (BPC) were officially launched, on Monday 14 and Tuesday 15 January 2019, at Impfondo, Mokabi and Bétou, in the Likouala division, by Henri Loundou, cabinet director, representing Calixte Nganongo, Minister of Finance and Budget.

The Director of cabinet of the Ministry of Finance and and Budget, Henri Loundou, installed in a tense atmosphere and under the supervision of the gendarmerie and police services, Aaron Kounenguika, chief customs inspector, to the position of Director of customs Investigations (replacing LauricLoembé) and Serge Victor Ignoumba, chief customs inspector, to the position of senior customs inspector as Director of Regulation and Litigation (replacing M. Makita).

Revenue collection departments - Opening of a one window for customs clearance in Nkayi

In Nkayi, the capital city of the department of Bouenza where sugar is produced, Emmanuel Akouala Mpan, Principal Private Secretary of the Miniter of Finance an Budget, officially opened the one window for customs clearance. The inauguration of the one window for which the ribbon was cut by the prefect Jules Monkala-Tchoumou, took place at the same time as the opening of the branch of the Banque Postale du Congo (BPC) where the one window is located.

World Customs Organization of the West and Central African region - Brazzaville hosts the 8th meeting of focal points of customs administrations in Brazzaville

From 25-27 October, 2017,  the 20 or so participants in the 8th meeting of the focal points for capacity building and those responsible for reforming customs administrations in the West and Central African region of the World Customs Organization (WCO) will share their experience in customs reform and draw up new perspectives for the next Regional Strategic Plan 2018-2022.
