End of crisis at the Directorate General of Customs and Indirect Taxation

The Inter-union of customs requests a tripartite meeting: Ministry, customs Administration and Inter-union
19 Oct, 2018

The re-installation  of Zéphirin Iloki, as Director of Administrative affairs (DAAF) at the General Directorate of Customs and Indirect Taxation, Hilaire Mavoungou, Budget Adiviser, representing the Minister of Finance and Budget, Calixte Nganongo, took place on Friday 19 October 2018.

This ceremony was made possible thanks to the desire of the Inter-union of customs to go for appeasement, after 17 months of misunderstanding between the tutelage and the workers. “I thank Calixte Nganongo, Minister of Finance and Budget, and  Jean Alfred Onang, Director General of Customs, for speaking with inter-union, in order to resolve the crisis. The feelings which drive me are deepest and I am happy to find my colleagues with whom I started working in this position”, said Zéphirin Iloki.

In the ‘’Statement of the Inter-union of customs on the enduring crisis in the customs administration’’, read by its vice-president, Bernard Maléla, the workers recalled that the content of their specifications remains valid. They therefore requested the convening of a tripartite meeting: Ministry, customs Administration and the Inter-union, with a view to continuing the discussions on the seven other points of these specifications, among with the computer royalty (RDI) and the rehabilitations of the Directorate General of customs Administration.

Noting this solicitation, the adviser Hilaire Mavoungou promised to submit it to the Minister of Finance and Budget for appreciation
