From Thursday March 21 to Friday March 22, 2024 in Brazzaville, the Ministry of Economy and Finance organized the first annual Conference for programming and implementation of its activities, in the context of the pilot implementation of Budget management of the State in program mode. The work was opened and closed by Mr. Jean-Baptiste ONDAYE, responsible minister, assisted by two Government colleagues concerned by this implementation. In this case, MM.Ludovic NGATSE, in charge of the Budget, public accounts and public portfolio, and Gilbert Mokoki, Health and population.
The National Economic and Financial Committee of Congo (CNEF) held its first ordinary meeting of the current year, Friday March 15, 2024, at the national headquarters of the Bank of Central African States (BEAC), in Brazzaville, underthe presidency of Mr. Jean-Baptiste ONDAYE, Congolese Minister of Economy and Finance. This session was attended by Ms. Ingrid Olga Ghislaine EBOUKA-BABACKAS, Minister of Planning, Statistics and Regional Integration, Mr. Ludovic NGATSE, Minister of the Budget, Public Accounts and Public Portfolio and by videoconference, Mr. Yvon SANA BANGUI, Governor of the BEAC, of Central African nationality. The Committee noted an 11.1% increase in outstanding gross credits to the economy, to 1,635.5 billion CFA francs, and a slight increase in overdue debts of 1.4% to 256.1 billion CFA francs.

Tuesday March 5, 2024 in Brazzaville (Republic of Congo), Mr. Jean-Baptiste ONDAYE, Congolese Minister of Economy and Finance, President of the Steering Committee of the Economic and Financial Reforms Program of the Economic and Monetary Community of Africa Centrale (PREF-CEMAC), indicated five points of reflection to the participants of the 8th meeting of the Technical Committee for monitoring the mobilization of financing and the implementation of the 13 priority integrative projects (PIP) of the 2nd cycle. These Projects were presented at the Paris Round Table on November 28 and 29, 2023.

Thursday January 25, 2024, at the Grand Hôtel de Kintélé (north of Brazzaville), Mr. Jean-Baptiste ONDAYE, Congolese Minister of Economy and Finance, opened the work of the first edition of Africa Finance Banking & Digitalization Summit ( AFBDS) or African Summit of finance, banking and digitalization in the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC), in the presence, in particular of some members of the Government and those of the diplomatic corps, leaders of institutions sub-regional communities (BEAC, BDEAC, COBAC), representatives of technical and financial partners, as well as general managers of banks.
