Preparation of the third review of the program supported by the Extended Credit Facility (ECF) in Congo

Monday May 15, 2023 in Brazzaville, Jean-Baptiste Ondaye, Congolese Minister of Economy and Finance, representing the Congolese government, officially opened discussions between the Technical Commission of the International Monetary Fund, led by Vitaly Kramarenko, Deputy Director General of the IMF Africa department and the Congolese government, as part of the preparation of the third review of the program supported by the Extended Credit Facility (ECF).
 
“From Monday May 8 to Friday May 19, 2023, the IMF teams and Congo work in close collaboration. Our technicians provide the IMF team with all the elements and all the useful information to move the file forward and remain ready to facilitate their mission,” declared the Congolese Minister of Economy and Finance, in his welcoming remarks.
 
Jean-Baptiste Ondaye reassured the IMF Services “that the Congolese authorities are committed to the success of the program that the Congo is implementing, in accordance with the economic and financial policy memorandum”.
After the opening of the working meeting, the Minister of Economy and Finance received in audience Vitaly Kramarenko, Deputy Managing Director of the IMF Africa department and Kpodar Kangni Roland, head of mission.
