73 million F CFA paid to the National Solidarity Fund and the COVID-19 Fund

The Minister delegate responsible for the Budget, Ludovic Ngatsé, collected, Thursday 7 Mai 2020 in his cabinet, 73 million F CFA as contributions to the National Solidarity Fund and the COVID-19 Fund.

This amount comes from the Association des sociétés chinoise du Congo (Chinese Companies Association in Congo) (ASCC), which handed over a cheque of 60 million F CFA; the Communauté béninoise de Brazzaville (the Beninese Community of Brazzaville) (5 million de F CFA); the Topshine company (5 million F CFA). This company also donated food worth 5 million F CFA. Add to this, the contribution of the International Winners’ Chapel congregation (2 million F CFA) and the Okiéli Business Transit company (OBT- 1 million F CFA).

In response, Ludovic Ngatsé expressed his gratitude to donors on behalf of the Head of State, Denis Sassou-N’Guesso, and his Prime Minister, Head of government, Clément Mouamba. Among these donors, he recalled that the Beninese Community settled in Congo long before the independence of his country in 1960 and lives in full fraternity with the nationals. As for the contribution of China, he took this opportunity to say that the Chinese government and the businessman Jack-Mâ, boss of the Ali baba company, are among the first responders in the fight that Congo-Brazzaville is waging against the Coronavirus pandemic, since March 2019.
