Conference of Directors General of Customs for the West and Central Africa Region

Three speeches were delivered at the opening, Monday, May 23, 2022, in Brazzaville (Republic of Congo), of the 26th Meeting of Experts of the Conference of Directors General of Customs of the World Customs Organization (WCO) for the West and Central Africa region (WCA). This meeting was held under the theme ‘’Accelerating the Digital Transformation of Customs by developing a Data Culture and a Performing Ecosystem’’.

Workshop to launch A Pilot Programme for the setting up of A Regional Network of Champions of the Modernization of Customs Human Capital Management

From Monday 16 to Friday 20 May 2022, Brazzaville (capital of the Republic of Congo), hosted the workshop to launch the Pilot Programme for setting up a Regional Network of Champions of the Modernization of Customs Human Capital Management (RRCM-GCHD). These meetings were organized by the Regional Training Center (RTC) of Brazzaville, West and Central Africa Region (WCA), in partnership with the World Customs Organization (WCO).

3rd and 13th Editions of the Competitive Entrance Examination and Test for the CEMAC Inter-State Customs School

On Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 October 2021 in Brazzaville, a hundred Congolese candidates participated in the 3rd and 13th editions of the competitive entrance examination and test to the Central African Economic and Monetary Community's Inter-State Customs School (EIED-CEMAC) for the private training of customs agents, controllers and inspectors.

E-Customs Project

The Minister of Finance and Budget, Calixte Nganongo, officially launched, Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at the headquarters of the General Directorate of Customs and Indirect Duty (DGDDI) in Brazzaville, the activities of the platform "Tracking", called "Ekengué" or electronic monitoring and surveillance of goods in transit.

Towards the E-TAX project's entry into production

From Monday 15 to Friday 19 June 2020, in the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 45 tax managers and cashiers from the Large Enterprises Unit (UGE) and the Medium Enterprises Unit (UME) will be trained in the use of the E-TAX project (new Online Payment System for Duties, Taxes and Fees) which will soon replace the old SYSTAF system.

World Customs Organization (WCO)

At the conclusion of their work held from Tuesday 19 to Thursday 21 November 2019 in Brazzaville (Republic of Congo), the participants in the 23rd Meeting of the Committee of Experts of the Customs Directors General Conference, from 12 of the 23 countries in the WCO-West and Central Africa, adopted 21 recommendations and 6 due diligences. These include the development by the Customs of each country of a National Strategy for the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (ACFTA).
