DIRECTORATE OF STUDIES AND PLANNING
PRESENTATION
The Directorate of Studies and Planning is attached to the cabinet of the Minister of Finance, Budget and Public Portfolio. It assists the Minister in the areas of studies, planning and statistics of the Ministry.
ORGANISATION
The Directorate of Studies and Planning is made of the following services:

The service for studies which identifies projects, carries out studies, centralizes and documents data and ensures execution of said projects;

The service for statistics which centralizes, analyses and interprets all statistical data of the Ministry;
-
The service for planning charged with drawing up and supervising development plans and programmes, drawing up economic and financial forecasts and coordinating activities within the framework of medium-term expenditure.
AREAS OF COMPETENCE
The Directorate of Studies and Planning is specifically charged with:

Drawing up the Ministry’s strategies and priority action plan within the framework of medium-term expenditure;

Ensuring coherence of said strategies, action plan and implementation through projects;

Carry out financial and economic studies relating to preparation of projects;
-
Preparing the Ministry’s projects and programmes;
-
Following up, controlling and evaluating the Ministry’s projects;
-
Analysing and interpreting the Ministry’s statistics;
-
Participating in supervision and management of the Ministry’s public contracts ;
-
Carrying out or ensuring the carrying out of all studies or investigations necessary for improving the quality of public service ;
-
Coordinating and following up all the Ministry’s plans and programmes.
